I am a Principal Data Scientist at Fidelity Investments, in San Diego.
I was previously an AI product manager at Teradata.
Before moving into this role I was a senior deep learning scientist in the same company within Think Big Analytics. From 2014–2017 I was a research scientist at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), also teaching and advising at the University of Saarland.
In 2014 I completed a Ph.D. from the Ohio State University.

I enjoy working on machine learning, data science, natural language processing (NLP), and related fields. Specifically, this includes deep learning / neural nets, tree ensemble methods, language modeling, machine translation, and efficient large-scale software for machine learning.
